This moth was found a few days ago at the hangar - it was taken outside, but tragically it did not survive the extreme heat we've been experiencing here. It is a beautiful specimen - so we got a bell jar and some moss to display it. I found out it is a Achemon Sphinx Moth.

The same moth that you found at the top of the dunes at Great Sand Dunes Nat'l Monument in '97 and from a distance we thought it to be a small bird.
