This sculpture of Anubis, the jackal-headed Egyptian god associated with mummification and the afterlife was recently installed at Denver International Airport. Installing large Egyptian gods at our airport is sure to feed the
DIA conspiracy theories. Add that to the list of the New World Order symbolism, underground chambers and aliens associated with the Denver airport.

That's fantastic! I know that when I'm about to embark on an international flight, seeing a giant statue of a god of death will provide just the reassurance I need.
Reminds me of a flight I took years ago with Egypt Air - the plane was named Osiris, as in the ruler of the dead...
I think it is actually being put up to coincide with the King Tut exhibit at the Denver Art Museum - but it is strange. I guess it sticks with a theme of unusual art at the airport (the blue horse, the strange murals, gargoyles, etc)...
I don't know about this. who is the artist? Not a very compelling piece but I will wait to see it in person.
not sure who made it Katharine - it was posted on the Denver Art Museum's facebook page a few days ago.

weird weather anomalies coming out of the DIA, a week ago,, seemed to create a polar melt of mountain water.
