Obama in Denver on Sunday

We were part of the estimated 100,000 people (that estimate seems pretty high) in Civic Center Park in downtown Denver on Sunday to see/hear Obama. We were too far back to actually see him as seen in these pictures, but it was a cool experience to hear him and be part of the action:

Shepherd Fairey paste-ups read carefully (artist unknown)

Denver has been extremely fortunate to get such high-class art here along with the DNC. Andenken gallery had a show up this week called "Manifest Hope" - mostly Obama-based art works by big shots like Shepherd Fairey and Ron English. Here are my photos from the show that I attended for three of the four days it was open (with the Boom truck):

"Super" Tuesday

To celebrate "Super" Tuesday - check out this great, constantly updated flickr group called "Obama Street Art". According to the admin of the group, "This group is not an official endorsement of any presidential candidate by any of the parties involved, and is in no way funded by or affiliated with any presidential campaign. Think for yourself and vote." Regardless of your political affiliations, it's interesting to see politics in street art in a positive manner. There's no shortage of anti-Bush street art - so political-art positivity is refreshing.
