I found this little scared Mourning Dove in the alley behind our building yesterday. There have been some pretty severe rain storms the last few days and it probably fell out of the nest. We kept it in the apartment overnight then brought it to the Denver Wild B.I.R.D. Rehabilitation Center this morning - where it will be well cared for. The bird is healthy -after a week or so of softer foods it should be back in the world waking Denver with soft coos. The center does great work - please consider donating.
