Art and Film Friday; Vol. 5 - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

This week I'm putting stills from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind by Michel Gondry with the work of several painters. While Matt Bollinger's work isn't exactly similar in terms of subject matter, the color use is very similar to that found in the film. The other artist comparisons are a little more direct.

These are some of the most exciting paintings I've seen in a long time. His site has tons of paintings and drawings - it was hard to pick a few to post here. Really great stuff and a great way to start the week.
